For the past several years, I have attended nearly every City Council and Finance Committee, speaking publicly and submitting comments on the issues that matter to our community. My priorities are grounded in years of listening to residents, studying the issues, and participating directly in the decisions shaping Saratoga.
Public Safety
My public-safety priorities include crime prevention, traffic enforcement, and improving wildfire evacuation preparedness. I support the responsible use of automated license plate readers as a law-enforcement tool, provided their use complies fully with state and local law and applicable privacy protections.
Public safety must remain central when Saratoga considers development and infrastructure decisions.
Preserving Saratoga’s Neighborhoods
I support preserving Saratoga’s residential character and ensuring residents have a meaningful voice in decisions affecting their neighborhoods.
No more Builder’s Remedy Projects - I will work to ensure approval of the 2031 Housing Element on time thus preventing another round of Builder’s Remedy Projects.
Additionally, I support amending the state constitution to take control of land use and zoning from Sacramento legislators – who are responsible for all the housing bills we despise.
Fiscal Responsibility
Saratoga will soon be facing a budget challenge which will be impossible to ignore. I believe city spending should focus on essential services, critical public-safety needs, and infrastructure maintenance. I will support careful review of city expenditures and responsible use of taxpayer dollars.
